UNRWA said on X on Tuesday that Israeli forces had confiscated staff devices and forced them out of their headquarters in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood. “This is an unprecedented attack not only against UNRWA and its premises.

Israeli authorities began tearing down structures in the Jerusalem compound of Unrwa, escalating a battle between the government and the main agency tasked with providing assistance to Palestinian refugees.

Israeli forces on Tuesday targeted at least two United Nations facilities, pushing forward with its crackdown against the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees tasked with delivering humanitarian services to millions of people across the region.

It is the latest move by Israel against the Palestinian refugee agency, which it accuses of colluding with Hamas, something Unrwa strongly denies.
